Drivers are being urged to check their vehicles as we approach winter and reduced daylight hours.
Police say you should make sure everything works as it should and the vehicle is fit to be on the road.
Officers will be out and about around the Island undertaking random stops and roadside checks.
Motorists are also advised to check their vehicles regularly throughout the year, not just at winter.
