Traffic wardens in the Island's capital will now use electric bikes to get around the town.
The introduction of the bikes supports Government’s Active Travel Strategy, which aims to encourage more than 20 per cent of people walking and cycling to work or school by 2021, compared to just 14 per cent in 2011.
The Department of Infrastructure says the team is making good use of the bikes, with staff enjoying keeping fit, as well as helping to reduce congestion.
Two active travel officers are also working directly with businesses, schools and communities to encourage more people to travel by foot or bicycle.
