The Department of Infrastructure says it won't give out floorplans for three civic buildings - because the drawings could compromise security.
A Freedom of Information request asked for plans of Government House in Onchan as well as the Island's court building on Bucks Road in Douglas and Legislative Buildings on Finch Road.
But the DOI refused to provide the information saying people could use it to break in, disrupt services, commit crimes or compromise safety and security.
Despite the requester saying they'd be happy to get redacted copies with security-sensitive details scrubbed, the department said the information is exempt because releasing it would likely endanger an individual.
