The Island's Fire and Rescue service is urging people not to throw used vapes in the bin.
It says it's dealt with several incidents recently where discarded vapes have caused problems.
Batteries in the devices can easily ignite and start fires in bins, rubbish wagons and waste disposal sites.
On Facebook, it says you should get rid of vapes at recycling points to make sure they're disposed of safely.
