A property developer says two out of a planned 11 new homes in Douglas will be affordable housing units.
Hartford Homes has applied for planning permission to build the houses on Farmhill Lane in Douglas.
In its application, the company says the project would involve the clearing of a plantation of around a hundred trees which aren't registered as woodland and were planted in the 1980s.
A protected woodland area to the Northeast will be kept in place under the proposals.
