DEFA reprimands irresponsible dog owners

Don't let your dogs free to harm pregnant ewes at the expense of local farmers.

That's the message from the MLC responsible for Environment Food and Agriculture after two dogs mauled lambing ewes in West Baldwin last week.

The attack cost farmers at Coolingel in Crosby over £3,000 - six animals were hurt and nearly 200 suffered 'major stress' as a result.
