A drunk man who lashed out at a van causing over £300 worth of damage will be sentenced next month.
24-year-old Michael Brown was found walking in the middle of the carriageway on Lezayre Road in Ramsey at 10.45am on May 2nd.
As the van driver approached Brown started shouting at him through the window before punching the van and trying to get in the back of it.
Police were called to the scene and he was arrested - he later told officers he couldn't remember what had happened and had just wanted to "knock himself out with alcohol" so he could sleep.
At Douglas Courthouse this week he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and damaging property - social enquiry reports have been requested before he's sentenced on August 9th.
