Douglas council says it's worried this year's World Cup final will clash with one of the capital's largest annual events.
Douglas Carnival and the climax of the football competition are on Sunday, July 15.
The local authority says this could "seriously impact on the involvement of volunteers, spectators and entrants".
Councillors say they're hoping the parade can be completed by 4pm - when the match kicks off .
