The inquest into the death of Charles Gareth Sowden was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse this morning.

Coroner John Needham said the wind had caused part of a shipping container to blow onto him trapping him.

Colleagues pulled him from underneath the six metre fibreglass sheet, which had a girder on top, and performed CPR but to no avail.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 11.42am.
