Concern over who's making Post Office corporatisation decision

Corporatising the Isle of Man Post Office would mean less political involvement in the operation of the service. 

That's according to the independent expert who's recommended that it becomes a government owned service instead of a statutory board. 

It says the change would be good for the long-term viability of the office - the Treasury would own the new limited company and set its aims and objectives. 

Tynwald will be asked to decide on the plan later this month - Michael MHK Alf Cannan says it needs to be remembered who's in charge of making the decision:
