Corporatising the Isle of Man Post Office would mean less political involvement in the operation of the service.
That's according to the independent expert who's recommended that it becomes a government owned service instead of a statutory board.
It says the change would be good for the long-term viability of the office - the Treasury would own the new limited company and set its aims and objectives.
Tynwald will be asked to decide on the plan later this month - Michael MHK Alf Cannan says it needs to be remembered who's in charge of making the decision:
No gas price hike after regulator review
Cafe hits back after staff abused
Online appointments being considered by sexual health clinic
Treasury can’t say how much is made from medicinal cannabis
Road closures planned for tin baths this weekend
DOI has no junction safety concerns over Iceland plans
LegCo to face questions in this morning's sitting
Passport prices to rise
