Clean Tech business conference to be held on the Isle of Man

The event is seen as a great opportunity for the Island to showcase itself as a centre of excellence for innovation and financial services

The Isle of Man has been selected to host the inaugural conference for Japanese Clean Tech Business.

The event is seen as a great opportunity for the Island to showcase itself as a centre of excellence for innovation and financial services to a number of ‘green’ businesses from Japan who will be looking to expand globally.

The 0% Green Business Loan Scheme was recently launched on the Island giving businesses help to lower energy costs whilst increasing operational efficiency.

The conference will host guest speakers from the UK and Japan; it will also outline Japan’s future clean energy plans.

Economic Development Minister Alan Bell has said the decision to host the event here demonstrates the Government’s commitment to embracing and encouraging new technologies and innovation.

It will be held at the Villa Marina on October 10th.
