Chief Minister hastens budget rebalance

The Chief Minister says the clock is ticking on trying to rebalance the government budget.

All government departments are currently reviewing the services they provide as part of the Scope of Government project.

Last week, the Department of Social Care was the latest to reveal proposals to streamline services in order to cut costs.

It wants to externalise a number of care services it provides, including care homes.
