Chief Constable Russell Foster hasn't been asked for his views on proposed 20mph limits in all the Island's towns and villages.
So say Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson, who was asked about the issue by Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas in Tynwald this week.
The Department of Infrastructure is currently asking for views on the changes, after saying Douglas and Onchan would see the default limit lowered soon.
Mrs Poole-Wilson said the Island's top police officer hadn't been directly consulted:
