Centrica to host Irish Sea wind farm exhibitions on Island

The energy company developing the Irish Sea wind farm zone are to hold three public exhibitions on the Island, to provide the public with information about the work carried out to date.

Centrica was awarded exclusive rights to develop wind farms within the Irish Sea zone in January 2010. Its boundary is just 12 miles from the Isle of Man.

In the past two years, Centrica has carried out various studies and stakeholder consultations to identify areas within the zone that could be suitable for wind farm development.

The dates of the exhibitions are:

Ramsey Town Hall, February 21 between 2pm and 8pm
Port St Mary, Scoill Phurt le Moirrey, February 22 between 2pm and 8pm
Strand Shopping Centre, Douglas, February 23 between 11am and 4:30pm
Java Lounge , 43-45 Duke Street, Douglas, February 23 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
