Now riding for Team Sky the Manx man rounded off a 90 mile run pipping former world champion Tom Boonen to the line to claim the honours.
The third stage win comes as he struggled to shake off the aftermath of a fever in the first two stages, admitting he still isn't feeling 100%.
It's the first victory for Mark in a year where he's seen as one of Great Britain's main hopes at winning gold in the London Olympics.
