The main focus of the World Champion's attention currently is the impending Olympics, in which he is seen as Great Britain’s number one hope of a gold medal.
He’s been persevering through the Mountain stages in the tour over the past few days, taking to his twitter to say the effort and strain was causing him to vomit whilst riding.
If he bags the fourth consecutive win in Paris it will put him alongside French sprinter Andre Darrigade with 22 stage wins.
