The Civil Aviation Authority says it can't help Citywing passengers who've been hit after the company folded.
It says Citywing was not covered by the authority's ATOL Protection Scheme which only covers those booked on a package holiday.
Instead it says passengers will have to obtain refunds for unused tickets by contacting Citywing directly.
Anyone who used a credit, charge or debit card may be able to make a claim against their card provider - a negative response letter which confirms the position is available by clicking here.
