Betting site gives 12/1 odds on Tyson Fury being MP

An online betting site says the Island's most famous new resident has an almost eight per cent chance of becoming an MP in the UK before the next general election.

The Online Betting Guide says novelty political markets put the odds of Tyson Fury becoming an MP by 2028 at 12 to 1.

And after he reportedly rejected a suggestion by Reform UK he could stand as a councillor for the party, the odds he'll become one of their MPS are now 16 to 1.

More than a decade ago, the boxer had spoken of the possibility of standing as an independent in his Morecambe home town.
