A local charity has received an international award for its emphasis on sustainability and education in schools.
Beach Buddies was recognised by Energy Globe at a ceremony in London, which highlights 'outstanding sustainable best practice projects which save our environment.'
With over 180 participating countries, the Energy Globe Award is currently the world's largest environmental prize.
Charity founder Bill Dale says this is a landmark moment for Beach Buddies.
