Police say to be wary of phone scams after several local commercial premises were targeted.
Officers took to social media this week saying people are ringing up premises - normally on a UK registered number - and asking to purchase a 'top up card over the phone'.
The constabulary advises to be mindful when taking phone payments and that any transaction is completed before handing over goods.
It comes in the same week as a warning from Police over warnings of 'sextortion' scams.
