Public Health Isle of Man says a vaccine against a virus that causes six different cancers will be offered to Year 8 students later this year.
Manx Care will offer the HPV vaccine to Island children in February and March.
HPV is responsible for more than 99 per cent of all cervical cancer cases as well as a number of other health problems.
