Telecoms operator Sure says its trial of 5G mobile technology is reaching 'never-before-seen' internet speeds.
The firm launched the trial on November 15 and has invited hundreds of people to take part and assess the tech for free to see how it could benefit Manx residents and businesses.
Sure's chief executive, Mike Phillips, says seeing these results at this early stage demonstrates 'the exciting potential of 5G'.
Speeds of 1.2Gbps (Gigabytes per second) have been recorded - it's currently being tested in three locations around Douglas for the next three months.
