12 Month Rollover of Homestay Registrations Announced

Visit Isle of Man has announced the rollover of Homestay registrations following the cancellation of this year's TT.

The racing fortnight - which wasdue to take place from Saturday 29th May to Saturday 12th June has been called off for the second year in a row.

The Homestay Scheme sees households provide much needed accomodation host visitors on Island.

The following approach has been made to ensure the Homestay Scheme is protected for future events and continues to provide much needed bed stock that is essential for visitors:

To roll forward all existing Homestay registrations for an additional 12 month period (from the date at which the provider’s current registration would expire);

To encourage hosts to work with visitors to try and roll bookings over to future events; and

To remove the physical inspection fee for those providers that have not received an inspection within the past three years.

All currently registered hosts will be contacted by email (or post where no email address is held) with full details of the above.

Any registered hosts that do not receive this correspondence can contact the MiQuando Homestay team (please check junk/spam folders first).

Homestay hosts wishing to rollover their registration should inform MiQuando as soon as possible by contacting hosts@iomhomestay.com.

Alternatively, Homestay hosts that are unable to welcome visitors to their home for future events and wish to cancel their registration should inform MiQuando by completing and returning the Cancellation Form which can be found here

The deadline for cancellation requests is Sunday. March 14 - cancellation requests received after this date will not be processed.

Additionally, providers wishing to cancel their registration who do not contact MiQuando by this date will have their registration fees automatically rolled over for a further 12 months.
