Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says young people don't feel this year's minimum wage rise will make it harder for them to find work.
He faced a question in Tynwald from Onchan MHK Julie Edge about whether his department had carried out an impact assessment about the effect the rise would have on young people.
In response, he said an overall assessment had included younger workers.
And he told the court their views had been asked for during a consultation:
