Douglas Council says its annual firework display will take place on the first evening of late-night shopping in the run-up to Christmas.
The local authority says this year's date proved hard to pin down, with problems getting the fireworks shipped to the Island.
But the event will now go ahead from 7pm on Thursday, November 26, just days after the city's Christmas lights switch-on on Saturday, November 21.
During the display, free festive parking on Loch Promenade will be suspended but car parks in Chester Street, Shaw's Brow and the Bottleneck will be free.
