The government's launched special commemorative coins to mark a hundred years since the end of World War I.
The coins feature red poppies and the soldier portrayed on Douglas war memorial.
As well as the 50p pieces, there are also two specially-produced £50 coins made from silver and gold.
Every student in full-time education on the Island will be presented with a set of the 50p coins.
