The Chief Minister has slammed government figures revealing the extent of sick leave by its staff.
Speaking to 3FM, Allan Bell said the numbers were 'absolutely unacceptable' and has demanded an immediate report into work absences.
On Tuesday, it was revealed in Tynwald that over the past four years this had cost in excess of a staggering £48million.
Mr Bell said he had an 'open mind' regarding the factors behind this, but admitted a poor attitude towards government work by its employees could be a factor.
