Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash on the Mountain Road last night.
Officers have confirmed a motorbike was involved the incident, which happened at 8.30pm on Thursday, April 30 near the Creg ny Baa.
The rider, a 43 year old local man, was airlifted to the UK for treatment in the early hours of this morning.
