Wayne Hamilton's funeral cortege accompanied by 100 bikers

Wayne was killed last Monday whilst competing in the Junior stage of the Grand Prix on his Yamaha 600cc machine.

The body of racer Wayne Hamilton, killed on the Isle of Man in the MGP last week, has been laid to rest in Northern Ireland.

In a tribute to the 20-year-old more than 100 bikers escorted the funeral cortege as it made its way to the church.

Wayne was killed last Monday whilst competing in the Junior stage of the Grand Prix on his Yamaha 600cc machine.

He had made his road racing debut in 2009 and in that time racked up an impressive number of wins, he’d finished first in the race the Saturday before the fatal accident.
