Water and Sewerage accounts laid before Tynwald

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority has laid before Tynwald its Annual Report and Accounts for 2010/11.

The report showed how the authority has two main revenue streams; money generated by water rates and meter charges, whilst funding for the sewage function is provided from Government's General Revenues.

The report highlights the development of the Regional Sewage Treatment Strategy, a project that received a £40 million cash boost by Tynwald in April.

It also confirms the authority are on target for repaying the £75 million bond taken out in the year 2000, by 2030.

Authority Chairman, Tim Crookall summarised the report saying it was pleasing to see they were able to meet all their budgetary, capital and long-term reserve obligations.
