Police are warning people to avoid Garey Road in Ramsey, as the river's burst its banks.
Officers say crews are working to make the road safe again.
An Amber weather warning for heavy rain is currently in place until 10am, Tuesday, December 9.
This will be followed by a red weather warning for wind and coastal overtopping from 1pm to 4pm.
