Volunteers tackle Scarlett fly tipping

A washing machine, a car axle and TV screens were among the things recovered from Scarlett Quarry at the weekend.

Volunteers from IOM Undwerwater Search & Recovery removed several items from the difficult-to-reach location after Manx Wildlife Trust issued an appeal following reports of fly tipping in the area.

The trust is thanking all those who took part in removing the waste - which also included an empty safe and a working pellet gun with ammunition.

It's added all the rubbish has now been removed and processed at the Southern Civic Amenity Site.
