Visitors to the Isle of Man spent almost £107 million last year – around £367 per visit.
Figures from the 2013 Passenger Survey also show that the total number of passenger departures was up 1.8 per cent to over 641,000.
Of these 46.1 per cent were visitors staying in paid accommodation, 21.8 per cent were on work or business and 29.9 per cent were staying with friends or relatives.
A third of visitors came from the North West region and stayed on average for just over five nights.
