The government's announced Manx students due to start their studies in the UK this autumn will be offered the meningitis B vaccine before they go.
Those in their final year of high school and under 25s entering university or further education in the UK will be eligible under the programme.
The Department of Health and Social Care's rollout is expected to start in July, in time for the next academic year.
Healthcare officials say students will need two doses for protection, given at least four weeks apart.
