Two men have been charged with wounding with intent, after a man was left with serious injuries over the weekend.
Police were called to reports of a man having been injured with a weapon on Saturday evening in the area of Cinder Path in Douglas, as a result the two males were arrested later that day.
They both appeared before the court this morning, and have been remanded in custody until their next appearance via live link on the 29th August.
Police have described it as an unusual incident on a generally safe Island, and have assured the public it was an isolated matter which posed no threat to any other members of the public.
They've appealed to anyone with further information to contact them, this appeal extends to motorists that may have dash cam footage and were travelling along Peel Road between 6.45 and 7pm on the day in question.
