Tuition fee questions for Tynwald

The Minister for Education and Children will be asked how much money his department spends on paying tuition fees for local students.

Garff MHK Steve Rodan has tabled three questions for Peter Karran during the March sitting of Tynwald.

He wants to know how much it has cost government, in each of the past five years, to fund students studying architecture, medicine, veterinary medicine and other clinical degrees.

Mr Rodan will also ask how much UK universities have charged the Isle of Man in tuition fees over the last five years and how this rate compares with the UK domestic student rate and the overseas student rate.
