Tributes have been pouring in following the passing of Manx war veteran Hector Duff yesterday.
The decorated and much-loved Island veteran passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on Monday - with the Onchan branch of the Royal British Legion, of which he was President, calling him 'a true legend'.
Meanwhile, Chief Constable, Gary Roberts, has described him as 'a remarkable man' and 'perhaps the greatest person it has been my privilege to know'.
Elsewhere, Speaker of the House of Keys and the government's Armed Forces Champion, Juan Watterson MHK, says Mr Duff leaves behind 'a strong legacy', adding 'rest in peace Hector, and thank you'.
