The government's cyber-security office has issued advice to election candidates about disinformation and misinformation in the run-up to polling this year.
The Cyber Security Centre for the Isle of Man says both can distort narratives, undermine legitimacy, and erode public trust.
It's published a leaflet for candidates on the government's election website, which details threats faced and how to counter them.
