A Douglas man will stand trial after denying six counts of causing unnecessary suffering to his pets.
40-year-old Richard William Miller, of Alder Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
During the court appearance Mr Miller entered not guilty pleas to six offences - all of which were allegedly committed on August 4th last year.
They concern a male and female Harris Hawk, two ferrets, a Plummer Terrier and a Whippet.
The court was told the allegations relate to alleged inappropriate living conditions and lack of access to clean and fresh water on a hot day.
A pre-trial review will take place on May 9th - he's been bailed in the meantime.
