Postmortem results show a tram horse that died whilst on duty earlier this month suffered cardiac failure.
17-year-old Albert died suddenly on Queen's Promenade in Douglas on May 13th.
The vet who examined the horse said his body did not have any signs of recent trauma and examination of the internal abdominal organs didn't reveal any significant pathology.
The incident sparked a debate on social media with some people suggesting the service should be stopped.
