This year’s Tower of Refuge Walk will return next month.
On Thursday May 9, the annual walk will raise money for the RNLI station across the Island, which has recently celebrated its 200th anniversary.
The Tower was originally built in 1832 by the RNLI to save those lost at sea, thought-up by the founder Sir William Hillary, and is a familiar sight for those coming into Douglas Bay.
The walk is scheduled to begin at Douglas Beach, with access from the steps at the Bottleneck car Park, between 6.15 and 6.30pm, weather permitting and organisers are reminding those who wish to take part to wear suitable footwear.
