Tourism remain stable through 2012

Through targeting the niche markets the Island’s tourism sector has recorded another positive year.

Although official figures won’t be released until next year, Tourism head Angela Byrne has said it’s a good result for the Island.

She told us next year will see both a big push on the TT triathlon event whilst also promoting the Island as a destination for a golfing holiday.

The 2013 visitor guide will be published in the coming weeks, with it to be promoted heavily at the UK consumer exhibitions in the early part of the New Year.

Angela told us that in comparison to other locations the Island has had a good year.
