Thieving pair given five-year exclusion order

Two Romanian nationals have been charged after being found guilty of stealing money from shops around the Isle of Man.

Last week police issued a plea for information after numerous shops and pubs reported the male and female were stealing cash by using confusion techniques and exchanging notes.

Twenty-three-year-old Razvan Sava and 26-year-old Lenuta Rostasi were sentenced to six months’ custody and a five-year exclusion order.

Sgt Steve Goldsmith extended his thanks to the Manx public and said if it wasn’t for the information the police were given they might not have been able to arrest the pair before they left the Island.
