Tesco Inquiry Concludes
Following a lengthy process where evidence was collected and presented the hearing into Tescos proposed expansion has now concluded.
Among those who are opposed to the idea include the Department of Transport and Shoprite, it’s feared the new mega store would steal business away from other retailers in Douglas.
It’s thought that if the expansion plans get the go ahead instead of a larger Tesco it would create a whole new store altogether which would sell everything under one roof.
The inquiry inspector David Bushby will now compile his findings into a report which will presented to new Department of Infrastructure in April.
