A local breast cancer charity is asking for votes to help it win £25,000.
The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group has been nominated for an Aviva Award which could see them raise money for a new piece of equipment which would help cancer patients on Island.
The charity has been saving up for a Intrabeam Intra-operative Radiotherapy machine which provides a one-off radiotherapy treatment whilst the tumour in being removed on Island rather than needing to send people away for daily treatments in England.
Chairman Carole Male says the machine will be used for breast cancer, spinal matastases, skin cancer, gastrointestinal, bowel, head and neck tumours:
