Students at Ballakermeen High School have raised £2,500 for the RNLI.
Crew members from the Douglas lifeboat station went along to collect the big cheque from the school.
Youngsters from the school's Conister House chose the Douglas branch as their charity of choice to raise funds for.
The RNLI said it was grateful as it relies on donations to keep its crews trained and boats ready.
