Manx Gas says don't panic if you smell gas on Douglas promenade.
The company took to social media after receiving reports of a strong smell between the Villa Marina and Church Road Marina.
It says ongoing work in the area means old and unused gas lines have been exposed.
Engineers have been carrying out checks to make sure there is no gas leak.
(1) We are aware of a persistent smell of gas along the stretch of Douglas Promenade between the Villa Marina and Sam Webbs Pub. This is due to the ongoing works which have exposed old and unused gas pipes.
