Stamp of approval as Ramsey Post Office is saved

People power has been given the stamp of approval in the north of the Island – Ramsey Post Office has been saved.

Ramsey Courthouse Ltd – which involves existing workers and local authority and community representatives – has been appointed to run the operation.

It follows a high-profile campaign to retain the facility – chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office Graham Cregeen says it’s positive news:

Douglas Post Office is due to be moved to the SPAR shop on Strand Street and will be operated by Mannin Retail.

Mr Cregeen says detailed discussions will now take place to finalise agreements:
