Chief Minister Alf Cannan says no illegal immigrants are being housed on the Island, after facing a Tynwald question on the topic.
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson tabled a query for written response about non-residents being put up in Island hotels.
In response, Mr Cannan says an investigation earlier this year into claims on social media about immigrants in hotels found the allegations were unsubstantiated.
He says the Isle of Man can't process asylum applications, and anyone applying in the UK can't live on the Island while their claim is processed.
