The Chief Minister says new plans to outsource a range of social care services are to be expected.
Earlier this week the department confirmed it was looking at ‘externalising’ home care, disability services and resource centres.
Staff were informed of the plans on Thursday and told it was in response to the ongoing Scope of Government review.
The department says no decisions have been finalised and would have to go through the Council of Ministers.
